A Brief History

Welcome! Fur & Feathers began in 1999 as a small newsletter that "sold" for $1 donations for the benefit of local shelters. Today, we are still going strong and are constantly improving our publication, this site, and the nonprofit organization associated with the publication (also called Fur & Feathers). Our goal is simply this: We are determined to put good pets in good homes and assist those still in shelters all across the Las Vegas Valley. Plus, Fur & Feathers is proudly run by mature, caring teenagers whose only motive is to be involved with pets, not politics.

1. The Summer 2004 issue will be out in May. It's release will be at a one of our Fur & Feathers events - complete with an adopt-a-thon, fun dog show, silent auction, give-a-ways, refreshments, and possible company showcase booths! More details to come...

2. We are still in the process of creating this new site and renewing our www.furandfeathers.com address. We appreciate your patience!

3. We have a new message board for people without e-mail addresses or who wish to remain anonymous because they have nasty things to say (hopefully not). See the "Contact" page.
